Tragedy was averted today at the Otueke residence in Bayelsa state where Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Jonathan escaped assassination from some notorious gunmen who exchanged fire with soldiers guarding the residence.

Thankfully the gunmen who, according to reports, came circled around in five speedboats couldn’t gain access to Goodluck Jonathan residence due to strong restriction from military guards. Unfortunately one of the soldiers was killed during the gunfire while three of the gunmen were left dead.
