Man City Coach Pep Guardiola’s Mum dies of Coronavirus, aged 82, the news of her passing

away was announced by the clubs official twitter handle which reads :

The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors

Man City Coach Pep Guardiola's Mum dies of Coronavirus, aged 82

Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting coronavirus. She was 82 years old.

“Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most

distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”

Dolors was married to Pep’s father, Valenti, and was also mother to the Man City boss’s two

older sisters and younger brother Pere, a football agent.

She saw Pep enjoy a hugely successful playing career, mostly with Barcelona, where he

won six Spanish titles and the European Cup.

The coronavirus has been ravaging across many cities and countries on the planet since it

first broke out in Wuhan China December 2019.

According to the index number of death cases world wide, over 60,000 people have died of

coronavirus cases most especially people in the old age range of 60 years and above.

On the local scene here in  Nigeria over 200 people have tested positive for the coronavirus

while 5 deaths has been recorded, 25 people have recovered from the virus while over a

100 cases are still presently in quarantine and been treated.

In other news, earlier today Nigerian actress Funke Akindele and her Husband JJC Skillz

have  been arranged before a Lagos State Court today for not complying with the

Coronavirus lock down rules as they hosted a house party on Saturday evening at their residence in Amen Estate Lagos.

One of the major rules they broke was the social distancing rule which say there should not  be a gathering of more than 20 people at a time.
