Top Nigerian commercial bank, Heritage Bank have been reported to have suspended singer D’Banj as their brand ambassador over his current rape case.
The award winning singer was accused by a model named Seyitan who claimed D’Banj had
raped her at Gleehotel on 30 December 2018.
Seyitan revealed the shocking revelation after a lot of rape victims came out to reveal the
ordeal they’ve went through following the death of Uwaila, a young girl that was raped and
killed.
D’Banj however denied the allegations and filed a suit against Seyitan as he ask for 100m
as compensation.
Things took a dramatic turn when Seyitan was reported to have been arrested and
detained, an action she later denied but noted that she does not want to get involved in the case again.
With Seyitan backing out of the case in such delicate time, fans on social media stated that
she was pressured into saying the statement as she don’t want to lose her life.
The IGP have however order the probe of D’Banj as they tend to investigate the rape scandal and make sure justice is served.
Though it’s not yet confirmed if Heritage Bank will be discharging D’Banj of his duty as
their brand influencer but the singer have been on the lips of fans who asked his to be
suspended as UN ambassador.
