It was supposed to be a great exciting music concert at the NativeLand 2019 show which hosted an array of superstar Nigerian artistes like Naira Marley, Fireboy, but it went bad when allegedly the VIP stage collapsed and many people left injured in the resulting stampede, while the show was abruptly ended.
Organized by the Native Magazine, the concert according to reports witnessed more than the usual crowd that the venue Muri Okunola park couldn’t contain that climaxed to defective collapse of the VIP stage, but the likes of Fireboy has shown concern for safety of the music fans at the show. He tweeted his reservation:
things didn’t exactly go right at NATIVELAND ‘19 but i’m glad we could still vibe and have fun — massive thanks to all of you that came out for me and quick recovery to those that got hurt at the stampede.
